From Compostable to Recycled: A Thoughtful Transition
From the very beginning, Doglyness proudly used patented Veganbottle® packaging, made from 100% compostable, plant-based materials. It reflected our early mission to challenge plastic use in pet care and to explore innovative alternatives long before sustainability became a trend.
Through real-life use, transport, and customer feedback, however, we learned that compostable packaging comes with limitations. Its sensitivity to temperature changes, storage conditions, and time could affect bottle shape and durability—sometimes falling short of the consistent experience our customers expect. In addition, industrial composting systems for packaging are not equally developed or regulated in all countries, meaning compostable materials are not always disposed of as intended.
To ensure product safety, reliability, and a better overall experience—while staying true to our values—we made a conscious decision to evolve.
Our New Packaging Choice
Today, Doglyness products are housed in bottles made from 100% recycled plastic collected from at-risk coastlines. By giving new life to ocean-bound plastic, we help prevent waste from entering marine ecosystems while supporting a more circular use of existing materials. This solution offers greater durability, protection, and consistency—without compromising our commitment to responsible choices.
Looking Forward
Our purpose remains unchanged: to create high-performance, certified organic, and vegan pet care products—while continuously improving how they are made and packaged. Our transition from compostable Veganbottle® packaging to recycled bottles reflects this mindset: choosing solutions that perform reliably in real-world conditions and align with established recycling systems.
We actively follow developments in sustainable materials, recycling infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks across different regions. As these systems evolve, so will our choices.
